Getting rid of performance fees is a good move in my opinion and a benefit for us investors following RDR.

On discounts, I don’t get this facilitation with mechanisms and policies to control them. These investments like funds are designed to be long term investments, if you can’t commit to long term investments don’t buy them, put your money in a bank account earning didly squat.

Discounts take away the flexibility of trusts. Look at how they beat funds hands down over 1, 3, 5 and 10 years. Do you really want to take away that advantage? And it aint just down to lower charges as some stupidly believe.
